Anyone remember the PALight, and know where to get something like it?

Re: Anyone remember the PALight Yeah, I'm hoping for something a bit bigger (so it doesn't just immediately get lost) but also dimmer and less easy to change the battery. Not the usual combo of attributes people want!

Anyone remember the PALight, and know where to get something like it?

Re: Anyone remember the PALight My toddler loves unscrewing the ends off my lights unfortunately. It's one of the bigger reasons I was excited that you had to use a tool to open the PALight. :)

Yeah, I saw those. The PALight was fully enclosed, not a top cap like the pak lite. You'd have to undo a little set screw to get at the battery. That's why I liked it!

I want to get my toddler a flashlight (so he'll stop pickpocketing mine) and searching on here turned up the PALight. https://flashlightsunlimited.com/survival.htm It's a totally enclosed 9v design, low output and bulletproof. Looks perfect! They also stopped making them years ago apparently...

Basic but bright AA light for work

2 AA, I usually carry it in my back pocket and a single AA body isn't long enough. High CRI would be nice, but not absolutely essential. I love Malkoff but there's no way I could justify the expense, this isn't my personal light. I'm just lucky enough to be in charge of buying my own tools on...

Good long throw flashlight that can handle recoil from .308 rifle

PTR's are the roller locked semi that's derived from the HK design right? Interesting choice for predator work. I like Malkoff a lot, here's the model you'd want, albeit with an offset mount...

Need help modifying an old incandescent Surefire G2

I have an old (incandescent) Surefire G2 that is yellow. It currently have an aftermarket metal clicky tailcap, and I'd like to replace it with a yellow momentary cap. I can't seem to find one for sale anywhere. Any sources? Also, looking to switch over to an LED emitter. I previously tried to...

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

I don't understand how they would be more difficult to EDC? That being said, the advantage mostly comes from use as a headlamp where they are vastly superior to the in line lights.

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

Based on the pictures it comes with a built in pre-set angle to shine right in front of you. Which is fine if you need that and only that, but much more limited than a normal headlamp would be.

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

At least in my case, the point would be to use it as a headlamp. In line lights have significant difficulties associated with their use in that fashion.

The Official Malkoff Junkie thread - Part 2

I asked about it a long time ago and was told the Solarforce body wasn't compatible. Maybe I'll grab one of those bodies and if it doesn't fit use that as an excuse to build out a whole Solarforce light. Not as much fun but cheaper than a Hound Dog lol.
