    Revive and old thread.... will the XT30 bidy fit the XT30R head? With the XT30R having a propritary battery, migh make sense to get one of the remaining XT30 lights so I can keep it working with 18650/CR123 in the future!

    Ok..... I moved it from the V1 Vampire body to a MH30 (Scout M300C) body and it works perfectly! If anybody has any experience, will the "D" head have the same recoil resistance as the current "E" version that comes on the M300V light?     AceBeam 3100mAh 18650 rechargeable battery with micro USB port..... After charging the Charge indicator lights up green which is good, And, it stays on albeit a dull glow but it's on all the time. IS this normal for a 18650R battery? ( first time with rechargeable 18650) Battery was included...

    If this is what you're looking for the L6 will be perfect!! I'm running mine on 12 volts with a MC123 extension (from Lighthound) and I can't tell you total run time but I've haven't gotten thru the first set of batteries yet!! Side spill +1 Throw +1 Bright +1 Color mine is really white! +10

    KL4, KL5 and KL6...(difference)

    I'm running my L6 on 4 123's with a 1 cell extender for a total of 12volts. It seems slightly brighter even though it's not supposed to be! Should get a lot longer runtime but haven't had a chance to test rt yet. Bill

    I use the IR version... regarding covert/regular, My IR did not have the covert hood which caused alot of "spill" which was interfering with my night vision. I cut a short length (about 1/8") of heat shrink tubing and placed it over the LED. I didn't heat it up, the friction fit is good enough...

    I called JB-Weld last year regarding temps and was told it's good to 650º F so it might work in this application.
