I have heard that the Solarforce L1200 burns through bulbs at an alarming rate. Is this true? If so why? Just fancied buying one of these for kicks would I be wasting my hard earned cash?
Apart from Surefire, are there any American, British or German makers of quality LED flashlights or are most made in China ? Just took delivery of two Fenix flashlights and was surprised to find they are made in China.
Sorry, I should have said Fenix LED. Thanks for the replies. All a bit confusing, buck circuits and boosters etc. I'll get it someday...... not the brightest bulb in the pack me.
Can someone explain how it is that I can run a flashlight on 2 x CR123A batteries which = 6 volts or just one 18650 = 3.7 volts ? I know it's probably a dumb question but I know nothing about electrical things yet. Trying to learn fast.
Thanks for all the replies so far, keep them coming. The main reason I joined this forum is due to my job. As an agricultural pest controller I use lamps and guns most nights of the week. I am fed up with the huge cumbersome lamps I have to use and need to keep up to date with new technology. I...
Would like to know how to convert C/P to Lumens or vise-versa. I have a one million C/P hunting lamp and would like to know what it is in lumens. Thanks. No more dumb questions this year I promise.
Probably the dumbest question asked this month but can someone explain to me what an LED CREE is. I know the LED bit, it's the CREE I'm not sure about. Thanks. I'm still learning:o
Will I loose anything using the two 17500's, is there any trade off? Will I have to use a dummy cell or do the two 17500's equal the same length as three CR123's? Thanks.
I'm running several Surefire flashlights a 9P and two M4's. It's costing me a small fortune in batteries so does anyone know if there is a rechargeable 123 battery and if so is it ok ( any pros & cons ) to use in these lights?
Thanks.
I am just waiting for the KT2 to arrive so I can mount the 9P on a gun for realatively close in work on a farm. Max distance I'll need to illuminate is 50yds, obviously at night, usually good conditions. What do you think; will the 9P do the job?
