    9,200 mcd Nichia Lot S!

That's at 20 ma. Yes, these are whites. The Lot R are rated at 6,400 mcd at the same 20 ma. Who says you can't get something for nothing! (Of course, you can't, so the S lot must also put out less heat!) John

    9,200 mcd Nichia Lot S!

I just got a look at Nichia's current PDF on the NSPW-500BS. They rate the Lot S at 9,200 mcd typical, 11,000 maximum! Now I know why the CREE 5,600 that I have are not as bright compared to the Nichias! John

    Solar pathlight Problem...help!

Thanks for the replies and ideas. Nope, the photo cell isn't it. I tried covering them up (completely!) and there is no change. I did notice that replacing the bulb with a kernel bulb from a Mini-Mag(tm) (brighter, more draw) makes them go out even more quickly. Something strange is going...

    Solar pathlight Problem...help!

Two of my Siemans solar path lights are exhibiting a peculiar problem. When I turn them on, they stay on very briefly (1-10 seconds) then blink off. The battery voltage is fine (2.6 volts for the 2 NiCds) and does not drop much with the light on, so I think the batteries are fine. After they...

Here is an inexpensive, Dual Purpose light...I bought the 2,000,000 candlepower rechargeable from Big Lots (Formerly Pic N Sav) for...
