    hi Szemhazai, is that using the stock optic? I guess I need to find a optic with the longest throw/ tightest spot I can find. I use the light for fishing at night and need a spot to penetrate the water when I shine for fish.

    Rayovac 3 Watt 2AA, anyone got one?

    I bought two of the 3 Watt lights, cabelas's version, for $12. I easily swapped both emitters for seoul's P4. Some short testing I did with a lux meter showed the light is about twice as bright now. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this light and swap the emitter, it makes a good host.

    I tried searching for some information on the kodak precharged AA batteries but couldn't find much. I am wondering how they compare to eneloops or rayovac hybrids. Has anyone figured out who manufactures kodaks lsd batteries? thanks

    I'm a ee engineering student also and just purchased some parts to build fog lamps on my car. Are you planning on building a new housing for the led's or are you modifying the existing lamps?

    Does anyone know where I could find a battery holder so I can fit six 18650 cells into a 2D or 3D maglite? I tried searching the net but came up with nothing. I guess I could just build my own pack, but then I would have to find a charger. thanks

    High power colored led, what is best option for upgrade?

    I'm looking for some red seoul p4 led's too. I want to make a fixture to mount 5 of them on my gun scope for hunting coyotes at night. Guess I could just use a red filter, but red led's would be easier.

    Just put a seoul p4 in my apex and it was quite easy. What reflector is everyone using? The stock one is good but I want a tighter beam and longer spot. Has anyone tried a IMS 20 mm? Also, I want to switch the white 5mm led's to red ones. Anyone try this yet?

    what's the efficiency for the seoul p4 @ 1watt? I can't find the specs on their website. Also, what do you think is the better option, a cree q2 bin or the seoul p4? I know the cree takes more modification to fit the apex, but I am concerned mostly with output. thanks

    I put a cree into the elly and it is alot brighter than the stock led. Does anyone know where I can find a small boost converter that has a 500 or 700 mA output?

    Just recieved my two elly's. I ordered on dec. 11 and both lights are alot better quality than I expected. A couple new O-rings and possibly a cree xr-e and they will be nice.
