recommend for medium throw 800 lumen single 18650 light

Good info! So this is what I am thinking. I need two lights, so: The Manker U11 Quinlan in NW for a modest throw, light color and high lumens, then the Jaxman E2 specifically for the Nichicon 219 high CRI LED. I think the reason natural white color temperature is popular is due mainly to the...

recommend for medium throw 800 lumen single 18650 light

Thanks for all the replies! Glad I asked, I didn't know about Convoy, Olight and Manker, all of which look like good options and great value. I imagine they aren't quite up to the big boys standards, but they don't cost $100 either. Any comments on the regulator performance in these lights...

recommend for medium throw 800 lumen single 18650 light

I am not the expert enthusiast that some are on these forums, but I benefited from the knowledge and bought a couple EagleTacs with medium OP reflectors at 550 lumens (?) with Cree cool white XP-E many years ago. They were fantastic! Then one disappeared and finally the second one got lost...

    LED upgrade Eagletac T20C2

OK, the MKII version is on the way. We'll see what Cree comes out with in the XP-G color/efficiency bins in the future.

    Getting What You Pay For

One of the key components that seems to be neglected or missing in the cheap lights is proper electronics. I see mention of resistors used in the cheapos to drop the voltage and current thru the LED for 'medium' modes. In addition to a nice housing, paying for a good light buys you proper...

Quick release handlebar mount 1" flashlight

I did look, and they have lots of mounts. Many of them are fairly cheesy and don't get good reviews. None are really quick release. I ordered this one from Fenix, but it is not quick release either.

Quick release handlebar mount 1" flashlight

Well, I don't know what more I could ask for. All that remains is for me to try and find them here in the USA. It seems such an obvious product, but apparently nobody makes it but Torch. Thanks!!

Quick release handlebar mount 1" flashlight

Well, yes, that is exactly what I would like. Seems reasonable enough; a quick-release for a 1" round flashlight. But I have been unable to find one, and a custom fabrication job would seem a bit extreme. If you are able to provide a link or manufacturer name, please post.

    LED upgrade Eagletac T20C2

Well, I guess I was correct to buy the flashlight with slightly lower-performing XR-E Q4 LED to get the 'right' color temperature. Apparently I gave up a good 30 lumens; 270 vs 300 (or more) for the XP-G. If/when they become available, is it just a soldering operation to upgrade, or is there...

    LED upgrade Eagletac T20C2

I just got my first LED flashlight, the Eagletac T20C2. It has the Cree XR-E Q4, which I chose for the neutral white light over the brighter Cree XP-G R5. I looked up the bins on Cree's website and the XP-G R5 was a fairly high color temperature, which I believe would have resulted in bluish...

Quick release handlebar mount 1" flashlight

Anybody have any idea on something a little more elegant than rubber-and-velcro TwoFish blocks? Ideally I would like something that clicks into a mount on the handlebar ALA Cateye or these Marwi handlebar mounts. Obviously they are not designed for a round flashlight. I was considering...
