    I got all my Convoy lights and parts from Banggood. I like that they have a USA warehouse and you can sometimes select where it comes from. USA is often a little m more expensive but arrives much quicker.

    I still like the S2 and I still have a the UV in regular use. But I fell in love with the Emisar D2 for dual emitters and also much smaller to carry in my front pocket. The convoy was a little bulky at times. "Is that an 18650 in your pocket or you just happy to see me?"

    I use a Cygolite Metro on my bike mostly in strobe mode during the day along with the built in LED headlight. It detaches and isn't a bad flashlight with 3 intensity levels.

    Short answer is no. In practical terms I couldn't see any difference in performance. Brass is a reasonable electrical conductor but still only half of aluminum or a a third as good as copper. but a rod or certainly 2.5 cm chunk of it makes up in size what it lacks in conductivity for this...

    The Adventure Sports upgrade a couple years ago used PVC pipe and couple O rings for the lipos. It was a 2D kit so I made a solid brass D spacer. Originally I had these AA to D adaptor shown on the right that I added a wire instead of the AA. I used that until I completed the brass one.

    I saw Clannad this weekend and the usher had his little flashlight directing us i thought about whipping out my Emisar and saying "thank you, I have my own" but I didn't. I just let him do his job and thanked him.

    Emisar D2 EDC used while doing some electrical work in the basement. Last night at a concert I used the UV second emitter to charge the lume on my watch to more easily check the time in the dark.
