  • Would you be able to rebuild a radio battery? I've included a picture of the battery. It is made for a Yaesu FT-470 portable radio. If perchance you could convert the battery from NiMH to Lithium Ion that would be great as long as I could charge it through the port shown in the picture or you could identify a charger that would plug into the charging base.

It is a Nickel Metal Hydride NiMH battery. I'd like to have it converted to LiOx. With some sort of discharge current limiter and overcurrent protection. I also need a charger which could use existing charging jack. Please let me know if you think it can be done. If the lithium-ion is not possible I would still want it rebuilt as a NiMH battery.

I'm trying find out if the Li ion pack has a charger that can use the charging port in ur radio. NiCD like 1.2-1.5V, NiMH is .2-.5V, and Li ion is 3.8-4.2V.....hopefully I'll find, worse case , instead of a dedicated charger like this20230306_162815.jpg
