Does anyone know who mods out lights? I'm disappointed with the beam on my E1b. It's not nearly as tight as my L1. What are my options as far as changing the reflector and LED? Does anyone on the board offer a service?
From what I understand, 2x123A will fry the LED in the Novatac. I believe if you just used 1x123A and a dummy 123A, that would work and you'd have the larger grip area.
I have a E1b head that I am playing legos with. I have it mixed with a E1e body but like the feeling of the longer, E2e body. I was told that 2x123A bodies will fry the E1b head. Could I realistically use the E2e body, E1b head, 1x123A and a dummy 123A? Would this work?
I'd love to see how this looks. I was on the phone with Surefire and they advised me this wouldn't be good idea to change tailcaps. Has anyone had problems?
Is this possible? I like the function and size of the L1 tube and tailcap but want the black, 80 lumen E1b head. Will this work? Thanks in advance guys!
Yeah, I did notice that the L1 has barely any spill while the Novatac has a nice amount of spill. Thanks for the responses guys. I am all the wiser thanks to you.
I just picked up a L1. When I compare the output on my wall, it seems my new L1 at 65 lumens is a good amount brighter than my Novatac 120E on high. What gives? Why is the L1 brighter? Isn’t the Novatac supposed to be 2x as bright? Help a newbie figure out what could be a stupid question. Thanks!
I just called up to see if the TK10s are in. They aren't! They said they may be in today and if they are, they hopefully will ship. Lets collectively cross our fingers!
I am charging them with the Sanyo charger that came with them. I am using a $15 charger that I bought at a electronics store. The charger is showing 100% charge with brand new E2s but the Eneloops are still registering around 70%. I'm a total noob about this stuff.
I bought a pack of Eneloop batteries and charger from Costco. When I got home I test the batteries and they were reading about 70% charge. Last night I charged 4 AA batteries and this morning they are reading only about 75% charge? Do these things need to be charged multiple times to achieve...
I went to Home Depot and they had no needle nose pliers that seemed they be small enough to fit in my Fenix or my Jetbeam. Is there a place I can special order a small set of pliers? Is there a specific one that I should look at?
