My wife has a lot of those solar powered garden lights. It's finally the time of year to check them out in preparation to deploy them. We put them all out in the sun for 2 days and about a third of them don't hold a charge. They use AA ni-cad batteries. I'm finding cheap AA ni-cads dificult...
Re: Safety concerns of using a pointer as a pet toy?
My black lab loves to chase my old 5mw red laser. When I get out the 33mw green laser she backs off and barks at it. Apparently too bright for her.
Dr Jekell, those are really nice but out of my price-range.
I then got looking at the pendant that kabkbak7321 gave a link to and suddenly realized that what I need is a wireless doorbell. DX has quite a few, some even look like cats, chickens, etc..lol.
Finally at Amazon I found one that even...
A while back there was a thread about lights on guns. One poster remarked that a remote controlled light would work as well and would draw fire away from the holder of the firearm.
This got me thinking. I've been trying to come up with a way to inexpensively remote control some lights. The...
I have a very young nephew that loves to play with my Arc AAA. He takes it into the closet, under the bed, etc. I'd like to get him his own flashlight but I realize that he'd go through batteries as he'd leave it on.
What I'd like to find is a modestly-priced LED flashlight that would stay on...

First, unlikely though it may be, you need to contact the seller and give him a chance to make good. Document your emails and any replies. If you paid via Paypal, they have a complaint prodedure. I've never needed to use it...
Re: New user safety questions
While an air gun lacks the recoil of a real gun, it does jar anything mounted to it. It is my understanding that the green lasers aren't very shock-resistant. I'd hate to see you damage it.
Walmart no longer carries it. Found a GE website claiming that Home Depot carries it. The lighting dept person at my local HD ended up calling GE and learned that this item was pulled from sale to the public and, subsequently, discontinued.
My wife has titanium knee-joints. She triggers the alarm entering and exiting from Walmart, Best Buy, and Compusa. If they've been recently calibrated, no sweat, but after a week, or so, she sets them off, again.
Well, I struck out at Walmart. The employee says they very well may have carried such a thing at one time but don't, now.
I'm going to just keep looking at various stores now that I know someone makes such an item. If I can't find it, I'll be doing some last-minute modding, I guess.
RonM: I...
