Dave Gingery has a fairly low cost solution. I have a copy around somewhere... As I recall the basics of it are an aluminum block with a round bore for a piston to force out the plastic. 2 AA's in a C barrel?
Re: 2 AA\'s in a C barrel? Nope, 2 AA's side by side are a little over 28 mm. The barrel of my 2C maglite measures a little over 26 mm. You could take it to a machine shop and have them bore out the difference, but you would end up with shallow or no threads in the tail and a weaker side...- ZaVoo
