Yep, it's true! These:
The difference is that the one at Costco has the area light in the bottom of the handle (2 white LEDs, maybe I'll put a couple of Nichia 9200mcd whites in there...), not running along the top of the light. I picked one up last Friday at my local Costco in Ft. Worth. $26. Being the modder that I am, the first thing I did was take it apart! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif The stats are:
4ah 12v SLA battery
75W lamp - The package claims it is only 55W, and that is is a Phillips bulb /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
This thing will be getting a 100W super white as soon as I get home from my 3 week stint here in Buffalo, NY. The beam quality is quite good, has a nice hotspot, with good flood all around. Beam is fairly smooth all around, except for the blocks caused by the rubber bezel guard. Take that off and you get a nice round beam. Throws pretty good (for a spotlight). That's all. Over, and out!
