thanks for reminding me,

i got one of those lenses about 8 months ago, and its been sitting in a drawer.

for now a perfect *squares* shape will do until i figure out the perfect circle.

im looking forward to darkness outside to see how this throws

does all the light come thru the lens or does some get reflected and stay trapped inside?

Welcome

Try turning the head down closer to the LED emitter. It should start to give you more of a circle than the square emitter projection effect with the "+" in the middle that I can see in your photo. LED's generate more linear light than an incandescent bulb. A reflector is a must have with incandesent builds. That being said I have found reflectors help the multi-die P7 a bit. With single die emitters reflectors do not help as much because of the near linear light output of the LED and alot of single die LED Mag builds with an aspherical lens forgo adding a reflector. But a MOP reflector does help the P7, especially in what I think you are trying to accomplish here. Happy Mods!
