Wow! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

32 pounds and no carry strap? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

(I just had to include this picture)

I wonder what the price would be. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
Seems like another candidate for our super light guy's Ted Bear & Kenshiro.

That`s a helluva light. I do like their use of military surplus amunition boxes (those things are remarkably well built), and the old-skool round volt meter and toggle switch are kind of groovy too. One thing puzzles me - how the crap can they fit 28Ah`s worth of 12 volt lead acid batteries in that box? I`ve got a few of those boxes here and they aren`t really big enough to fit a 17Ah cell let alone two. Perhaps four of the smaller 7s...?

However, they did get them in, and I`m not complaining with performance like that! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

You know, at 10 Million Candlepower, I'd expect a much more intense and brighter hotspot than that large wide spill shot...

I don't see a picture of something that is likely to outdeliver the x990. Any comparison?

interesting, it looks to be all side spill and no actual beam or am I missing something?

Pretty much, it would be great to light up a whole room or even a football field. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif That's just an HID driving light meant for a car...

It'd be even greater to light up, say, a campsite from a mountaintop down to a valley a few miles away...

That's what your vector multi million CP light is for. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Long spot isn't usually very important to me because I've got the eyesight of a rock and usually don't wear my contacts... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ...This is where the Maxabeam comes in handy... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

At no more than a football field, the Vectors are quite good. Even the 3MCP dual-reflector does a great job lighting up so much more than just a pinpoint field straight ahead. And although it still can't match the pure output of the X990, it's under $100...
/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif

Now, if this 10MCP guy really is 10MCP capable, I'd like to see the beam it throws, because that would mean the X990's way out of its league...

A *LOT* of companies inflate their performance/brightness of their product, I have access to a MAXABEAM and its claims are real..
