Where can I find 100W H3 Axial bulbs? I've been searching everywhere, but no luck.

You can buy them direct from Vector Manufacturing, the makers of the Vector handhled spots. Try:

There are no H3 axial-filament bulbs.

No, they are not "axial bulbs". There is no such thing as an H3 with an axial filament. All H3s have transverse filaments.

I believe this is what they are referring to as "axial".

I double-checked those replacement bulbs with Vector customer support specifically because I did not want to pay $10 for horizontal filament bulbs. Here is their response:

I think Shwein is referring to a question of definition. H3 are horizontal filament bulbs and H1 are axials, both using the same base. That Vector calls them axial H3's is a bit misleading but descriptive. I think it's more interesting that inside of that cage is a G4 wire lead bipin 100W bulb /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

They should be pretty close. 2700 lumens is about par for bulbs of this type. Interesting that it cross references to the Osram 64152. Only a 50-hour life implies low tolerance for overdrive. Usually automotive bulbs are rated longer than this I believe.

I'll just leave the stock bulb in then. BTW, the stock bulb is an Osram 64152. That's what I searched on to get that bulb.

It only has a 50 hour life? That's funny, because I had this light for over ten years, with the original bulb. I don't use it too often though.
