Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get a dummy 123 battery?
I searched the forum ,and someone said Surefire sells them but I don't see them on the site.
I want to run my E2e+KL1 with 1 battery.
Any one have any tips on building one-I have access to a metal lathe ,and other shop tools.
Thanks

Hi Led-Ed,
The Z20 is a dummy 123, and can be bought at LPS for $4.50 .

Hope this helps,

It'd be a little thicker; but how about a dead 123 with the shrink-wrap removed, the pos terminal insulated (IE with elect. tape) and then cover the whole thing in Al foil.

When pushing 1 or 2 amps through a dummy battery, I'd feel safer with a non-flamable insulator.

DSpeck's are Delrin around brass, IIRC.

HI,

I put a screw/nail through an appropriate sized wooden dowel, then file down the ends so they are not sharp.

Pre-drill the dowel so that it does not split.

Abe.
