14mm to 17mm board adapter?

well has anyone made a 14mm to 17mm board adapter or can point me to a way to? I mean there is a definite lack of 17mm boards with an input voltage of 6V and I have a few dead modules and flashlights to make use of...

Maybe soem copper tubing inside the pill?

Also...

Using 16mm boards in 17mm cases what do you thing of making a ring/rim out of telephone wire and soldering it inside the copper socket of the pill?
