15-25w lamps?

hello, What are those new lamps that seem to be in many new lights, are they like the d2 35-55w car hids, or like the old solarc 10w (slow start, short arc)?
And where can they be gotten, with ballast?

I did some more google. Seems 21w and 24w are the numbers that pop up often. Found a chinese mfg called "brightstar" making such bulbs and ballasts.
Are these the ones used in the wolfeyes and others?

At any rate, I'm very curious about the arc size as compared to the old welch allyn solarc lamp, which was amazingly small.

And how is the startup, and how small are these ballasts?
