17500 batteries vs. the others?

I can't seem to find any reference to how large a 17500 recharable battery is. anyone have any shots next to some other batteries? like pila, 123 or something. I would like to know what comparable pila battery would be equivalent to 17500 battery.

I am planning to switch to pila batteries for most of my lights. guilt free lumens. I burn way to many 123s. Would like to use the 168A whenever possible for a 2x123 replacement. Like the higher maH rating vs. the 168S. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Generally, when cylindrical batteries are specified by a number like that, the numbers tell you the size. So this would be 17mm diameter by 50mm long...probably. A 123 is 17x34.5mm

You could try the Sanyo site, since they make just about anything, where I go for odd battery sizes.

The short, skinnier Pila is comperable to the 17500, just a bit longer due to the onboard PCM (protection circuit module??) I believe this battery would be termed a 17530. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif I am doing some battery tubes that I am calling 17500 but I designed them long enough to handle the short skinny Copia which I *believe* is the same battery as the short skinny Pila. 17500 is exactly 1.5 x 123

2x17500 is = 3x123 or what i run in my TL3.
