17500's in a 18650 charger

Can I use a spacer to fit 17500's in a 18650 bay if so what size is needed?

well 17500 means 5cm in length while 18650 means 6.5cm in length.

in most cases yes, the only time this would not be advisable is if your 18650 charger would exceed the charge rate for 17500 size cells.

The maximum charge rate for a 17500 would be about 1A ideally, around 600-900mA would be more appropriate. Most chargers I have seen are slower than this anyways so it's not a big deal.

You'll need a 15mm (or 1/2 CR123 length) dummy spacer.

That's the charger I use for my 18650's and it will adjust just fine for a 17500.
