I could not locate an answer to my particular question using the search function. If there is a thread that pertains to my question then I apologize, and would be grateful to be pointed to its location.
I just purchased a Surefire 6P and replaced the stock P60 with a Malkoff M30W LED. I plan on purchasing an Ultrafire W 139 charger and would like to operate the Malkoff M30W with a 17670 protected lithium ion cell.
According to older CPF posts that I read, the consensus seems to indicate that AW 17670 protected cells were more reliable and safer than the Ultrafire 17670 protected cells.
I can purchase the Ultrafire 17670 protected cells with 1800 mah at a respectable dealer for a few dollars cheaper than the AW 17670 protected cells that only have 1600 mah.
At this point in time are the Ultrafire 17670s comparable or still inferior to the AW 17670s? Does the Ultrafire 17670 batteries cheaper price and higher capacity make it a better deal when compared to the AW 17670 protected cells? Or should I purchase the AW brand even though it is more expensive and has less capacity?
Thanks for any replies.
