What a beautiful light! Do you have any information on the runtimes for it and the output on NiMH, Lithium (E2) or Alkaline?

Re: FS:Extreme III custom 1 x AAA light.

Kenster,

Thank you so very much; you are the rarest of dudes when it comes to your generousity coupled with your enthusiasm!

I am so very grateful to you for this gesture; the Extreme III is a beautiful light and I was milling over the decision this morning of whether or not to buy it... well, you have made the decision very, very, very easy:p

The appeal of this light to me is the promise of the highest quality, highest grade multifunction AAA light available. This morning, I was looking at the pictures of the bezel and the thickness of the aluminum around the window and at the tail of the light and it pushed my buttons... not to mention that I have a couple of 10440's that just don't get used any more:)

Thank you again, so much!

I am hoping [just sent a paypal....] that he has small batch made.

If it was a one of a kind, it was a steal for that price!

Re: FS:Extreme III custom 1 x AAA light.

What do you mean user programmable? Is source code available so that users can compltely reprogram the firmware with a new ui of their own design?

I dont think so...i bet its basically this 3 points in the description:

Programmable output for the 2 stage output and 2 stage SOS.
Programmable output and frequency for the 2 stage Strobe.

2. Programming function - User can define the output and frequencies of the 4 operating modes mentioned above

Re: FS:Extreme III custom 1 x AAA light.

I think if you want an idea of the basic feature set and interface, read up on the Liteflux LF2, it looks like the same light engine/program chip. Same features, should be somewaht similar runtime characteristics (somewhat only since the LED is different).

The rest, it totally different, looks beautiful. Very well made.

Kenster... Wow!

Ordered mine at the end of last year. Can't wait for it to arrive!

Also... Kenster... Wow. Tough not to get a bit emotional over your random acts of flashlight kindness.

I am curious if this is true? Does this share the LiteFlux UI (which I find beyond my comprehension)?

Mike worked with the manufacturer of the LiteFlux to produce this light. The LE is similar, and UI shared, but Mike has improved the efficiency of the converter for increased runtime. The switching mechanism is the same, but Mike assembled these lights himself with the sourced components.

So there are many obvious similarities including the UI, and many improvements like the redesigned HA body and Rebel, but the converter improvements are not so obvious.
