Where the night is too short...
Hi, I try to use last night 4 batterues in serie for a project, one get hot, it is protected so I replace it for other, I rhink maybe get hot because it is not full charged, I try to charge but the charger show like the battery is in short, dosent charge, the battery is a trustfire blue 2500. Can I replace the circuit protect or the battery just die?

Thanks

I think its a short. But why? How did it happen. Is the PCB damaged? If it is just get a new cell, really not worth the effort and risk of replacing the circuit.

Mmm... I was thinking the same. What if I take out the circuit and use it like a non protect?
Unless they were quality Japanese/Korean cells i wouldn't even think of doing that even in single cell operations. Its just not worth the risk. All the fire brands are not consistent in their quality so weigh the risks.

Also if you remove the PCB, you'll most likely have to remove the shrink wrap that insulates the battery. They you risk shorting the battery without protection :shakehead
