First, forgive me if this question has been asked before: it has literally been many years since I posted here. And if anyone remembers me from 2006 or whenever - hi.
Over the last few years I've been frustrated by the slight differences in 18650 Li-Ion batteries. Some are a few mm longer than others, and have slightly different +/- ends. No biggy you would think, but I began to realise that some are branded LC 18650, and others TR 18650. It's only a rule of thumb, but generally my older flashlights tend to only work with LC's, and my more recent ones with TR's. 2x18650 flashlights I own work with 2xLC, or 1 of either, but not with 2xTR.
Sellers who I've asked about this never have a clue. I just bought a light from someone and it came with LC's, so I'm going to buy a bunch from them so I have some spares for my old flaslights (like my dear old incan 2x186540 'Scorpion' which is still a sentilemental fave, and which I have a bunch of spare bulbs and reflectors for)
I just want someone else to tell me they've noticed this and have had similar problems - and again, apologies if this is ancient knowledge: I have been so long out of the
