Thankyou for being the first person to share your expertise on these drivers.
I thought the previous reviewers were not being generous with their knowledge but looks like the design has changed.

I bought a 5-pack from KD and have now got one at least to be fully functional! I just hope that my soldering is good and that nothing will overheat.

This gets the modes working, but the 2 drivers I have have tested so far are still well down in regards to output.

No matter how much I tweak the pot it will not output more than 500ma.

....powered by 1AA akku, battery...or one li-ion?How You measure current?
Can you measure current from power source and voltage in source if driver its connected and powered on, brightnes set to 100%?

Sorry, 3xaa, and it pulls a max of 500ma off the batteries.

Definitely 100% brightness.

3AA accu or battery? Accu-1,2V, battery-1,5V
500mA from power source or 500mA LED current?
Its very important to measure consumption current with very good cables, with very small resistance and multimeter set to biggest current , 10A or 20A becouse all multimeters has internal resistance

Can You measure voltage produced by step-up in this driver, without LED?
Check with few potentiometer positions

Actually it would seem that just these 2 drivers are broken.

I have tried 2 more and they work fine.... in fact I dialled too much in and they burned 2 switches with 6a!!

All is good, many thanks.
