<1mW leadlight V\'s <5mW leadlight..........Theory
I have a theory, i've mentioned it on another post, but have decided to dedicate an Actual thread.
We all know that the pot is there so that manufacturers can adjust the output. So, in theory, the 1mw and the 5mw are really the same laser, with the same MCA's and the same drivers.
Is anyone able to confirm that the 1mW and the 5mW have the same "guts" eg resistors etc etc. If this is the case then it shouldn't matter if you buy a 1mW leadlight or a 5mW leadlight. *UNLESS* they have diffrent, poorer quality MCA's or Less powerful infra red diode.
The reason i have brought this topic up has to do with new model Leadlights with the LED and other saftey features. As stocks of all the Old style 5mW leadlights dry up, The 1mW version would have to be a viable alternative to mod, as i believe there must be plenty of them out there on the open market.
So, has anyone compared the 2 types?
All comments welcome.
