for $6.76 shipped i wasn't expecting any high quality and i didnt get any high quality.;) it's pretty crappy but looks like it can withstand some light use. the battery cover has an o-ring so i believe it's weather resistant. didn't get a chance to try yet.

the output is pretty good with the 3aa. it takes 2aa also without the battery carrier. the aaa battery carrier is pretty tight to fit batteries. it would fit my eneloops but not my la crosse aaa.

output on the 3aa is very close if not exactly to my l2d on med which is about 34 lumens. the beam pattern again, almost exactly the same as the l2d.
output on the 2aa is very low. i would guess it's something around 8 lumens. i'm assuming there is no boost circuit.
the output would be too bright for close work on the aaa, the aa would be more suitable. with the aaa the output would be good for walks and scenic biking.
i would use it primarily with 3aaa and can use it in an emergency with 2aa.

the on/off click(1 mode) has a nice click to it and worked on every press.

i'm not sure about runtime yet, didnt get a chance to run it for long times.

it has a top strap that is not removable. i feel the straps wouldnt adjust to someone with an incredibly large head.

weight is pretty comfortable. same as any 3aaa headlamp. i'm not sure if it needs the top strap.

pro: i like the output(3aaa) and beam pattern. very close to the l2d med.

con: cheap parts, horrible output with 2aa.

i think it'll serve it's purpose(emergency, lending out) for the price. i'm pretty much happy about it for a 6 dollar light.
