SPERAS B7 is sold in a yellow/white cardboard package.
Printed in the small box are the main features that distinguish it.

Types of Lighting:

SPERAS B7 has a complete illumination being equipped with a Depth LED (Spotlight), a CREE XP-G3 S6, a Floodlight LED and a Red light LED ideal for the night; it can protect the eyesight of users in a dark environment and is a perfect companion for night activities.
The Spotlight and Floodlight light can be activated together at the same time reaching a maximum brightness of 600 lumens.
SPERAS B7 allows a tilt angle of 30°.

On the bottom side is the red light LED which has three types of lighting; Constant Red, Strobe and SOS.

SPERAS B7 can be powered by 3 AAA batteries (1.5V) or by the proprietary LC12 battery (1250mAh) sold as an accessory. The LC12 battery has a USB-C charging port on the top. During charging, an LED indicator, near the charging port, informs us of the battery status.
To fully charge the LC12 battery, in my tests, it took me about 2 hours.

Inserting the batteries is simple; at the top of the front panel, simply lift the interlocking lever and pull to access the battery compartment. The direction for inserting the batteries is made easier by clearly legible writing.

Operation and User Interface:

The user interface of the SPERAS B7 is simple and well managed by 2 switches located on the top.
The POWER button, on the right of the front, controls the white light, the button on the left controls the red light.

When the light is off, press the POWER button to activate the white LED light.
  1. Pressing the POWER button repeatedly within 3 seconds of turning it on will cycle through the light modes: MIDDLE (Spotlight) – HIGH (Spotlight) -HIGH (Spotlight+Floodlight) - HIGH (Floodlight) – LOW (Floodlight).
  2. Pressing the POWER button after no buttons have been pressed for at least 3 seconds will turn off the light.
Auxiliary Red Light
When the light is off, press the button (on the left) to turn on the auxiliary red light. Press the button repeatedly at intervals of less than 3 seconds to cycle through the modes; Solid Red Light – Flashing Red Light (Strobe) and Flashing Red Light (SOS). Pressing the button after no buttons have been pressed for at least 3 seconds will turn off the auxiliary red light.
Recharge
SPERAS B7 has, as an optional accessory, a 1250 mAh lithium-ion battery. This battery can be recharged via the USB-C socket located above the battery itself. When charging, the LED on the battery will be red, while it will turn green when fully charged.

Beam and Runtime:
The beam of the SPERAS B7 has a not too cold tone that tends to yellow/green in the central part (crown) with a discrete throw especially in the highest combined level of 600 lumens that reaches the value declared in the table. The light covers the walk completely. Only discrete is the auxiliary red LED useful especially in its flashing function.

The value of the CCT color temperature and the Ra color rendering of the SPERAS B7, measured with the OPPLE Light Master, taken in the brightest level, as it also appears to the eye, is a not too cold white with a discrete Duv tending slightly to yellow/green.
To the eye no PWM.

Runtime:
The runtime test was performed in Combined High mode (600 lm) indoors and without ventilation with 3 AAA batteries (1.5V) and with the 1250 mAh Li-ion battery, fully charged. In both tests the autonomy is good but does not reach, in my tests, the values in the table.

SPERAS B7 Unboxing and Use

CONCLUSIONS:

SPERAS B7 is a small and fairly powerful headlamp, which fits well on the head and does not tire, suitable for many uses including map reading, rock climbing, walking, camping, etc.
SPERAS B7 has a complete LED set considering that in addition to the main LED it also has two auxiliary LEDs, one white of alluvial nature and one of red color with the possibility of fixed or flashing light. The standard set is however basic including only the primary batteries and the user manual. Good autonomy and ergonomics; SPERAS B7 is equipped with two buttons to easily manage the user interface.
In conclusion SPERAS B7 is recommended as a backup headlamp or for small trips as well as for everyday use also considering the excellent selling price.
