hi all! I have these specific questions.

can a SSC SWOH bin be driven safely with a driver that outputs 3.7 V and 800mA? Specs say 3.2 V nominal with a maximum 3.8...And if this driven has a spec of 3.6-8.4 input V, can it be driven with 3 CR123s (approximate V dropping at 7.8 V)???

also what is the Cree R-series Vf? I got the Q2 Q4 * Q5 Vf from various sources. Also In the binning & labeling file from Cree I see no mention of "bin to Vf" info.

hope I got the proper subforum right, Kostas

The 800mA output is safe IF you heatsink the LED properly.

I would NOT trust that driver with 3x CR123. There may be a limit because of the voltage some of the components can handle and these may fry due the initial higher V.
