is it possible to run 2 5mm white leds in a series powered by 5v from a power supply from a computer. im asuming the leds will be run at 2.5v each so it should be fine right?

i use a 27 ohm resistor in series to run from +5 on a pc
2 leds in series would need 6.5-9v depending on vf.

Hello there,

Another idea is to put the two in series and drive
them from the +12 volt supply on the computer.
The required series resistor is 250 ohms.

Take care,
Al

Hello again,

Oh ok that's a good idea. If you want more brightness
you could try snakebites idea too.

There are a surprising number of parts available for
ordering online too, with check or money order or
credit card etc. if you need parts.

If it's just one resistor, im sure you could get someone
to send you one.

Take care,
Al
