Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie to making custom lights, but I'm amazed with what I've seen in the state of LEDs so far... I was checking out the popular SCC P7 for a project idea, but then I stumbled across this one:

http://www.xmeteorlight.com/High-Po...ARD-LIGHT-1500-2100LM---12v/product_info.html

12-chip Cree emitter
1500-1200 Lumens
1500 mA forward current
10-12.5 V forward voltage

Looking at it, it even appears ideal for heatsink mounting. There's just one thing that has me a bit concerned - it seems even Cree doesn't know anything about it from what I've found on their site, and this seems to be the only place on the whole internet to find one of these units... So does anyone have experience with these, or even this company? Anyone know who really makes the part? I could see it if the chips were just from Cree, but I wonder who could make such a mighty array and go completely unnoticed, leaving their product unbranded...

I see - I wasn't sure if they'd have the ability to put one together like that, but my searches did show some other lighting gear they've made.

Thanks! I think this would be a fun emitter for an absurdly bright flashlight...

For sure!
I've just been looking for a place to order a single driver for it for the last couple days. It looks like every piece of this will have to come from a different supplier, lol...
