Hello,

Of all the edc flashlights I have, I like the 2AAA flashlights best. This because of form factor and size. Output in the 12 to 20 lumen range seems to be OK for most of my uses.

Thusfar I have the following:
- Maglite Minimag 2AAA with TLE-20 kit
- Inova Bolt 2AAA
- Streamlight Stylus Pro
- Peak Pacific (luxeon) 2AAA

I like each of them and consider them all good and useful. But as you will all see: there is no Fenix :sigh: in this configuration.
I would really love Fenix to make an L2PAAA with the super regulation of their original L2P. With current led technology, the output of the original L2P can easily be matched with AAA cells making for a handy little edc light.

So, please Fenix, make it and I will be filled with joy :twothumbs.

Kind regards,
Joris

As I understand it, the head from the L0D-CE will fit the bodies for the Streamlight Microstream (1xAAA w/clicky) and the Stylus Pro (2xAAA). Do a search and the thread about it should come up near the top.

its possible, but a reflector optimized for the radius of the AAA cell will output a beam very very different from that of a L2P. Personally I would rather settle for a machined AAA body that fits to an AA head If I was to go in that route

Hello Daekar,

Yes, I have a Stylus Pro (2AAA) and it will take the head of my L0D CE and output is very good. But it would still be nice to have a "complete" Fenix, I guess. Also the head of the L0D is quite short and does not fit the body of the Stylus Pro ver well.

Kind regards,
Joris

Dated technology, albeit not as much as the AAA MiniMaglite, but how about the River Rock/Nuwaii TM-311X? I have two - they are a great deal here from 'Target' stores under the 'River Rock' name - $9.99. You get a well made Al bodied light with a twist cap and a large multi-LED that puts about 10 Lumens out for 8-10 hr until half brightness - with fresh AAA alkalines. I am expecting ~20 hr from Eveready E2 lithiums. Yeah, somewhat blue - blended spot. I carry one in a pocket holster with a Bark River Huntsman knife (3.1" blade).

Turn them around so that the LOD head is on the "tail" end and the switch is on the "head" end of the body. With the Microstream, at least, everything fits together much better with this setup . Good luck!
