Any risk to bulb or battery using 2X AW 17500's in my Streamlight TL-3?

I ran out of CR123's earlier in the day and decided to try 2X17500's in my TL-3 and to my casual observation it seems to work phenomenally (wish i would have known earlier).

No risk at all. It's a very popular combination for guilt-free lumens. But make sure you're aware of the dangers of rechargeable Li-Ion cells in general, if you're using unprotected cells, and you should be set.

Oh, ive been using rechargeable setups for a long while now... but only in my surefires... ive never tried a rechargeable setup however in any of my streamlights. Just didnt know how the bulb in the 9V bulb in the TL-3 would handle 2 17500's compared to a similarly setup 9V surefire.

But if the general consensus on the issue is to go with it, then ill run that setup from now on.
