Hey flashlight fanatics I'm looking at a Coast zithion- X double AA size battery for $20. It has a micro USB port for charging in it. It looks like all you have to do is pull it from the flashlight stick it into your micro USB charger and throw it back in the flashlight when it's done. For 20 bucks it seems like a pretty good idea? What do y'all think? Are there any other types of batteries that would be like this that are one battery that takes up two AA batteries spots with the charger on it already so you can just plug in the cable?

This battery will start from 4.2 volt fully recharged and if your flashlight can take extra voltage (4.2 vs 3) volt, then it should be fine.

Most (not all) LED lights have wider input voltage range compare to incandescent.

Seems like a good idea in theory for 2X AA LED lights that can handle the extra Voltage, how well it will work in practice remains to be seen. Maye Coast will send one to HKJ for testing?

Sorry I new here so I'm not sure who HKJ is but I'm sure they would have to contact Coast and see. They have sent items out to reviewers in the past. It shows in the reviews.

I like to see 25950
After installing protection circuit, it will fit in 2C flashlight without any body modification.

Charging a 100mm long cell will be fun.
