Hi!

I'm looking for a simple 2xAA light with a High CRI LED. XP-G, Luxeon or SSC P4, doesn't matter.
Are there any "ready" options where one does not need to do a emitter swap?

Thank you!

Jonas

All I can think of off the top of my head is to get an M61-HCRI-LL and put it in an MD3. Then get a delrin battery sleeve.

Your choice of 123x3 host. Use a sleeve to reduce it down for AA's and get Nailbender to make you a High CRI low voltage module.

On the cheap side, I would do a Solarforce L2 with a 123x1 extention. You can use card stock rolled up to make a sleeve to reduce from the bodies 18mm to the AA's 14mm.

EDIT: Actually, I would do an L2M and an 18650 extention. With this set up you can always remove the extention and run a SINGLE CR123 in the L2M with the same module.

The M61LL runs dim on AAx2. (out of regulation)

I was hoping Craig would get a run of M31's done in HCRI but nothing yet. I have a C3 just waiting for one.

What color temp?

Personally I'd rather have a lower CRI 5000K than a high CRI 2700K.

Nap.

i dont own a dereelight javelin, but will the M61LL HCRI fit in those?

doesnt solarforce make a 2xAA host as well?

as for me, high of low CRI, i still rather have 3000k tint. heheh :p

Not really a practical solution, but an HDS High-CRI clicky with a (limited run and long out-of-stock) 2xAA battery tube would work :)

You don't happen to HAVE one do you? My RA high CRI only has the 123 and the 17670 tubes. :(

Don (McGizmo) offers a high-CRI (Nichia 119) head and also a 2xAA battery tube. It's a great, totally winning, combo!

If you can afford it and are willing to spend the $$$ (not the same thing, I know), it's a solution that fits your parameters extremely well.
