3 Vs 6 "good bye U2"

Ive had my L2D Q5 for 2 weeks now and for Running 2 aa's this is beyond bright. I havent even used Lithiums yet. It is much brighter than my U2.
I have heard that you cannot modd a U2 so I guess sell it and modd the 120p
that seems to be the going thing.. Ideas anyone??

I have read a post about someone dropping in a rebel 100 in place of the Lux V in his U2, don't remember how it went. I suppose you could swap in a X-bin (enjoy the hunt) to replace the stock emitter, but what's the point when the efficiency would still be barely over half of what Crees and Rebels get.:shrug:

My impression from the L2D and the U2 was that although the L2D was slightly brighter (P4 version, not Q5), its beam profile was not as wide as the U2, so maybe the U2 can still serve as an adequate flood light? Or does the Q5 L2D can now put out more spill than U2's flood?
