Does anyone make these or do I have to make one myself ?
I would rather buy one from a manufacturer , since it would be better than something I could make, but if there aren't any I would try my hand at it to get rid of the 3 AAA power and have the better CR123A power for lights that take these AAA carriers. That is, if it is better.

CR123's have too low voltage to work in most 3xAAA lights as they are usually direct drive. A more common adaptation is to mod them to use 18500 or 18650 cells (18500 more often). 18500 cells are close to the same length, and only require something wrapped around them to fill up the extra space. A short section of PVC or pipe insulation works just fine.

Thank you!!!
You just saved me some un necessary work as I was already fitting a
plastic sleeve around a CR123A cell and trying to elongate it.
I had wondered if there was a regulator circuit in there to boost the voltage up from 3 volts, not so it seems.
Many thanks, off to order 18500's and a charger now.

What light is it with the AAA carrier?

Some of these lights can use one 18650. See here.
