3AA to 1D holders info

Hey anyone have any idea what the differences between 3aa in 1d holder as opposed to an actual 1d cell?? is there runtime differences? brightness differences??

hmm... upon doing a search on KD... it seams that the cells are in series... for 4.5v which isn't what i was looking for...... wonder if there's a way i can rewire it to parallel so i can still get 1.5v... but longer runtime???

The closest thing I own that you are looking for is sku. 7031 from DX though this is only a 2aa to 1d in parallel for 1.5v NOT 3aa. Works like a charm though and quality isn't too bad. The nice thing about these is that they also work with 1aa inserted.
