Hi All

Can anyone recommend a good driver to which will run 3x cree Q5 wired in series off of 6 x AA NiMh batteries??

many thanks!

The only "big" driver I've ever used is the maxflex from taskled. Check out my quad Cree build in my sigline. The maxflex gives you all sorts of options, if you want a UI. If you don't want a UI, the other two above will work great for you.

There is also the flupic and tri-flupic. I really don't know anything about them, other than the tri-flupic actually drives each emitter separately, so if one emitter dies the other two will keep on going.

cheers guys!!

fancy the look of the tri-flupic, but struggling to find and specs on the wee beastie!!...will it run 3xq5 cree @1000ma??

That's the thing about the tri-flupic... There's good documentation on the UI, but no technical specs that are posted anywhere that I could find. An email to the maker would probably net you the informatio you need.

cheers guys!!

interesting driver on ebay, now thinking of running on 6 x 3.7v li-ions!!

deep joy !!!!

thanks all
