Hi,
the non ribb aspherical lens, It came from a ford twice, as tight then the KD 52mm lens,
just to add a muilt die, like a P7 still looks rubbish:thumbsdow i would like to try a R2 just to see how far i could go and as a bonus you can pick this type of lens up from any body shop cost 2 or 3 dollars as most cars after 2004 have one stuff in the head light cheers DocD

What the heck are you using for a head Doc? Looks like some sort of plastic plumbing part. Is the battery tube Mag?

Yep your right a plastic plumbing part, comes from swimming pool pumps connector 2",bore out the bottom and top it a sort of push fit onto a mag bezel ring, so in short the whole maglite with it push fit on the end
just trying to show the diffrence between both types of lens cheers DocD

$2-3 as a replacement part or as rubbish from busted up headlight assemblies?

Are those glass?

Yes they are glass, most modern headlights have them i pulled the ford I-MAX headlight out of the bin so it was free ( non ribbed ) and £1.80 at a auto breakers for the ribb one thanks DocD
