I am curious if anyone has bought or tried any of
the 7 LED Flashlight combo's with Laser pointer advertised on ebay. They take two AA size batteries, The question is are they regulated in any way and are they any good.

Let me take a look at that...BRB...I'm not at all familiar with this product, sorry about that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

The item ends tomorrow at just before 5:00am PDT; if the price is still right around 11:00pm PDT today, I'll bid on it - for CPF sakes of course. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Let me go check to see if they ship to the US...BRB...nope, guess I won't be bidding on it after all. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Damn! Any way, i'd look at getting one in Australia anyway, cheaper for me. You going to post a little review?

DaFiend: I bidded for one last night $9.50.AU on ebay
paid for it today, it usually ships within 10 t0 12 days.
Will let you know what it is like when it arrives.
I think it is a very good deal, I previously bought (bidded)
the 21 LED 3AAA light fron the same people $14.00 This
is a great little lite.

I guess I could post a little review./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif Don't expect anything indepth though as I have hardly any test equipment. Craig would be able to post a more informative review. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I got an email from them saying I should get it in a week. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif I wonder what mw the laser is?

Thanks, i had i little closer snoop around craigs page /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif, and it seems that he has already reviewed one that is VERY similar. I don't know if they are the same, but i doubt it cause the one he reviewed had a RRP of $59 or something like that. But if they do happen to be the same...... then they are great deals on ebay huh! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

Only problem is that they don't have those trendy blue ones here in Australia....... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif

The one I evaluated for my website uses five white LEDs and a red laser, and is powered with two CR123A cells.
I purchased it on Ebay in mid-September 2003 for just under US$60.00 (not counting S&H, or P&P for non-US viewers).
My web page about it is right here if you're interested.

I just got the light. I popped in the batteries, clicked the button and a bright red laser dot apeared. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif Click it one more time and it turns off, click it again and you get the leds to light up. It's not as bright as a terralux minimag but it provides a nice smooth flood with decent throw. I can't measure current draw or lux as I don't have the equipment. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif I looks fairly sturdy, but don't expect me to beat the **** out of it and throw it in the john to test if it's waterproof. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crackup.gif Over all it's a great buy for $14. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/happy14.gif

I should be getting mine any day now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/popcorn.gif

It's still seems to be putting out the same brightness and I have used it for at least 3 hours.
