75% off H\'ween LEDs @ Target!

Found some 60 LED strings of red, yellow and orange
marked down to $2.50 each at Target today.
I bought the three sets they had left. Very nice!

Yes, they are really LED's. How do I know? The upper left corner of the box says "led technology" or something similar 🙂

They are LEDs inside plastic globes and look like colored marbles laying on a fourescent light.

They give off virtually no heat even after being grouped together and plugged in for several hours.

These are just like the ones I bought and panned in another thread a couple of weeks ago. Mine weren't the halloween ones, just the regular christmas ones. Half the chain were defective and wouldn't light. Yours actually look a lot cleaner than mine, but they still have the big cast line around the middle of them.

Careful pulling them out, the LED will come out of some of them. It's 3mm.

for 2.50 I may go back and get some more😉

I read your review and didn't buy the Christmas lights after your experience.
My wife brought home a string of these for me and I was quite pleased with them. Enough to drive the 25 miles to get the other two boxes she had left behind!
Usually I don't like yellow

since it usually washes out the darker colors of a string, but these yellows are closer to a light green

and I like them.

I'm glad that I just got a bum set and they are not all like that! I'm willing to give them another chance, I'm off tomorrow to see if they have any of the marked down ones left.

The yellow ones were indeed somewhat greenish. I might have described it as a sickly color

but you're right, it doesn't wash out the others.

Oops - wait. I just remembered that I tried that before Halloween, and my local Target didn't carry them in the first place.

Sucks being me sometimes.

tell you what darell, I'm heading out to Targét tonight and if I find a heap of them (>3), I'll buy a string and sell it to you for the cost+shipping. But only if you post a picture of your precious little daughter doing something adorable with them.
