I'm intrested, as are many others I'm sure. Tell em to hurry up, everyone knows how short our attention spans are. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif

I emailed and called Greg @ brightguy today. Possibly he might let me know an update/etc.

I hope that someone starts carrying them soon. I think it's a great product as it is as well as being a good potential mod part.

I found some interesting info out on these units tonight. Unless I am waaay bad wrong, they are made in the USA by some people I am might proud to support with my purchase.

Details will come out eventually.

When I found who made these, I almost fell out of my seat.

Turbo, you're killing me. True, I'm easily killed, but there may be others who's curiosity is also piqued.

Yeah...what he said!!!! I'm working on a hybrid Luxeon...8watt..runs on 3 volts...should run about $6 each...I'll let you know when they're ready..........

Ahem, back to seriousness for a second. They included a 3.6v .9a bulb. I would LOVE to test this thing with a higher amp bulb. Any idea where I can get one? I have already placed an order in the wa/ca group buy, but that stuff won't be here anytime soon.

They're sending me some more stuff they make. Supposed to ship Monday via overnight for Tuesday delivery.

Will keep you posted.

Wow, I didn't see this thread until now!!!

Nice adapter!!! I like the design, maybe because it is so much like mine: /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

From this thread.

Hmmm, maybe I should have put in for a patent on my 12AA to 3D holder. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

Oh well. That adapter looks like it has some promise. I like that they've used the extra space given by the shorter length of the AA's to incorporate the voltage regulator into the unit. I also like how they've solved the problem of the batteries popping out sideways by using that thin disk. The batteries make connection through the holes in the disk, so they're not as likely to pop out the side of the adapter because the disk "holds" them in. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I also think that it's interesting that they used the brass support rods as part of the circuit. Not that I want to give away any more secrets... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nana.gif

They are sending/have sent samples to a vendor we all know. Vendor will evaluate and hopefully start carrying them.

I will give these guys a call and see what's up also.

Just called.... guy I know is out (it's 4:30 on a friday afternoon). Left message with another guy I know there.

My main guy called me back after hours. Web site is _supposed_ to be up on tue. If so, I'll release the rest of the details I know then.
