Some of you may remember the 650nm build I did with my HDS a while back, unfortunately that diode eventually :poof:d on me 'cause I was seriously overdriving it. Well, when these new diodes came out they seemed the perfect match for the available current levels in my HDS and I just had to try it out:naughty:. So here's the new setup, I don't have an LPM so power is guesstimated based on current to the diode:

Level 4- 250ma/ 250mw
Level 3- 400ma/ 400mw
Level 2- 667ma/ 650mw
Level 1- 1200ma/ >1000mw:devil:
Button lock enabled, force setting to come on at level 4 for safety. Custom aluminum heatsink with Aixiz 445nm lens.

And here's my Mag XL100 build, seemed like a neat idea at the time. It's direct drive with all the cool XL100 features intact, which means dimmability, button lock, strobe, etc. It has a custom 1 1/2oz aluminum heatsink with a pressed in Aixiz module and 445nm lens. Current draw is about 600ma on a fresh set of Lithium AAA's which should put it around a solid 500mw or so on high. I actually remembered to get pics of this one before assembly too:twothumbs.

very nice, I would love to see a video on a "How To Build" and a video of the finished product. thanks.

Very nice work on the HDS! I have a LaserBee 1 so if you sold me a diode in a heatsink I could measure the output

Thanks for the kind words guys. The HDS definitely isn't going anywhere soon, and I'm not really looking to produce heatsinks right now but the Mag is available. Drop me a pm if you're interested.

Awesome work Chip! I've never been into lasers really, but that HDS build definitely peaked my interest. :)
