A couple surge questions

Can the surge easily be rewired to all serial instead of serial/parallel?

Is the surge reflector plastic? I believe it is, so that would limit the wattage that could be pumped into it. 13 watts is probably too much isn't it?

What size bulb T1.5, T2, T2.5, etc does the surge use?

The reflector is plastic. Even with the supposedly 7W bulb that's in there, I've had the paint bubble up on the reflector real close to the bulb. The bulb is a T1-3/4. I think it could handle 13W if you could find an aluminum reflector that would fit.

And how would one proceed to remove the reflector in 1 piece and re-insert the new alu reflector? I happen to be rather unsuccessful with that. Anyone care to teach me?

The reflector just pops out if you squeeze on the bezel. It's not cemented in.
