Phone pictures alert. Please excuse the quality. This doesn't do any of these lights justice, but does compare the size of the hot-spot semi fairly as for tint, it shows nothing.
Convoy m1 - V25cvn - C20cvn - V11rvn - D25cvn ti
Pocket clip switch.... Much better.
Convoy m1 xml2 3a qlite driver
V25cvn pdt
C20cvn pdt
V11rvn (only with dome intact)
D25cvn ti xml2 pdt
These lights tint are almost identical except for the v11rvn because of the pdt option.
As you guys can see. The v25rvn and the convoy m1 built by me is very close. Both have nice defined hot spots, and equal visual brightness with a slight edge toward Vinh's. (I'll take it! )
The v25rvn is the winner here because of that infinitely variable control ring. It's from 0-1500lm, and the lowest it goes barely makes the emitter glow. When they say 0, they mean 0.
The convoy is a great beater. Two modes, and tough as nails. It's such a simple, and well made host.
The c20cvn is the most throwy of the bunch. It's hot spot is noticeably smaller and more intense. I think vinh should really do a run of these. The side button UI is very clean. Has two modes, high and low, by holding the button. Momentary one, that works! And uses a 18650. It's very small for having that type of cell inside. I think this is a great light, and people may be missing out here. To me this is the best looking light here.
The d25cvn ti is next. Really holding it's own being the little guy. It's less defined hot spot makes it more useful up close than the c20cvn. It's very bright, but gets the warmest the fastest as you would imagine. The ti also makes it one of the most handsome. This has a nice middle ground between the c20cvn and v11rvn. It has a nice spill, still with a nice traveling hot spot.
Then the v11rvn. It's obviously the mini flooder of the bunch, with its dome still on. Really nice up close, and retains the cool tint. With the 14500 extender, it's about the same length as the c20cvn, making it a perfect handful. This one also gets quite warm. The control ring ui is a very nice feature giving you full control of the amount of light. The low is a slight glow, and the high is very bright. Really recommend the extension here. The extra mah, and size, is a welcome addition.
With any of these, you can't really go wrong. From a little close/mid range v11rvn, to the throwy c20cvn, you can really pick a light for any application within the edc capabilities.
I felt like I onlu had very large powerful lights, so I wanted to add some pocket monsters in my collection
Now, which one to grab on the way out.................. Damn I'm late!
