I dont understand where you put it...

is it letting you use shorter unprotected instead of stock protected?

Looks like a magnet and spacer to be able to use shorter batteries instead of the beast mode usb recharging 419 feet long imalebt batteries.

yeppers magnet and spacer i love it useing ny 5 buck 21500 cells and even at 13000 lumens it runs.

so, does the large diameter spacer sit on top of the positive post on the battery?

if the light gets dropped, any chance the spacer can slide to touch the inside of the body tube and create a short?

its a pretty strong battery it acualy came from a battery charger it fits pefectly i took apart one of them cordlews olight chargers the large part goes on top of cell
