Someone else posted pics of LED lights on a shed at a 2-second exposure. Knowing photography like I do, a 2-second exposure is kind of "cheating" but at the same time I know why he did it, because it produces good results at a distance. So just for fun I put my camera on "Night Exposure" which is approximately a 2-second exposure, and took beam shots of several different lights. I took beam shots at different targets. The first a very tall palm tree that my neighbor has. The second the tree in my front yard, at a distance of about 20 feet.
First up, palm tree:
Reference pic, no flashlight. You can see that my area has tons of misc. light.
And this pic is the green LEDs of my Streamlight TT-2L.
