A3 LE question

I was wondering what keeps the LE from screwing in too far on the A3 series. I'm putting one together and noticed the MCR38 reflector has a much larger hole than say the MCR20 that bottoms out on the LED. If you screwed the LE in all the way with the MCR38 then it appears the led contacts would touch the reflector.

The E screw making contact with the reflector will stop it from screwing in to far. You do need to make sure the LED contacts are not bent up or they could hit the reflector. Like this one I made for someone is good Mac.:grin2: I said it is good, not great!:ohgeez: :laughing:

So the wires hit before the LED contacts?

The E screw will contact the reflector and stop it from screwing in any farther. Keep the LED leads and the wires tucked down tight in the E screw and they can`t make contact with the reflector. Set the reflector on the LE outsde of the head and you will see better.

Ok I see it now, the E-Screw sticks up. I'm using a custom machined heatsink. I will have to add a piece of delrin to the top of my heatsink to prevent the led leads from contacting the reflector if screwed in too far.

Well, that`s what you get for making custom parts and messing with Don`s fine work!:nana: :lolsign: I figured you were doing something that is not with all stock Aleph parts.:)
