I am designing an RGB color mixer. It should have 3 strings of LEDs (lets say each string having at least 2 Luxeon Rebels), each dimmable from 0-100% with a potentiometer. It will run off 120vac.

What is the best way to do this with Buckpucks? The AC version is interesting - can I run 3 AC buckpucks off of one cheap 120vac-24vac transformer right from wall current?

An insight into what leds, drivers, or power supply would be most effective is welcome.

thanks
M.

Yes you could do that as long as the transformer can put out enough watts/amps to power all three strings. Don't forget to put a fuse in the equation, as it is always a good idea when dealing with mains power.
